In numeracy this week we have been learning to convert metric and imperial units of measurement. Numeracy homework this week is linked to this - triangles and squares are estimating the lengths of objects that can be found at home and then measuring them - once using cm and again using inches. Pentagons and hexagons are converting metric and imperial measurements. Heptagons are completing an a to z of units of measurement. The challenge for heptagons is to make as many links between the different units of measurement as they can, eg: if l is for litres and p is for pints, what is the conversion rate for pints and litres?
Literacy homework for everyone this week is a reading comprehension.
